“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”- Romans 12:2
This life is all about transformation. Transforming from the old to the new. Brand new. New start. Fresh start. Romans 12:2 is the best verse about transformation. We are not our past. Thank God we are not our past. Our past doesn’t hold us. Our past doesn’t have the last say. Jesus has the last say. Jesus says I am His child. Jesus says you are His child. I am so happy that we are seeing ourselves transformed every second we are living. We can’t live in the past. We live in the present and have hope to live in the future. While we are here, we are transitioning to who we are becoming through Jesus. Look at the Bible for the evidence if you need more understanding. He transformed people from who they once were to who He identified them as. Jacob to Isreal. Abram to Abraham. Saul to Paul. Simon to Peter. God doesn’t even need to change us with our names but always changing with our hearts. We are so blessed with change. Change is good for the right reasons and what’s a better reason than change for God and His purpose for us? Our mind was about earthly things, but with God, we have transformed into things that are above and high. When we are transforming to living a life for Christ, we see everything from a different perspective. We are more blessed, more grateful, more humbled by things that God bless us with. We transform from insecurity to identity. We transform from guilt to grace. We transform from lust to love. We transform from fear to faith. We transform from ashamed to anointing. We transform from worry to worship. We transform from burdens to blessings. We transform from pain to purpose. We transform from hate to humble. We transform from sin to salvation. We transform from obstacles to opportunities. All because of God. All because of Jesus. Jesus is king. Always and forever.
