The Journey of Calling

“When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them.”- Psalms‬ ‭91:15‬

Calling can be a good thing or a bad thing. I know I like certain people that call me. I love it when my parents call, my brothers or sister, or some close friends. Also, there are some calls I don’t like to pick up. For example, I dislike telemarketing people. They are the worst. They will call you with different phone numbers after you just blocked the other 30 phone numbers.

Besides those calls, there is one call that we cannot ignore. God calls us all the time. Whether we like it or not, we cannot stop God’s call on our lives. I love how we think we have control of our lives when we actually don't. Your call is completely different from God's call if you haven't talk to Him first. God loves you so much that He will block your decisions so His call be heard to you. We can't stop the call form God. The only thing we can do is either to accept it or ignore it. God will get His way with His calling towards us. It is just a matter of obedience, humility, and surrendering to Him to accept the call. Don’t ignore God’s call into your life.

Also, don't think you will be the only one accepting the call from God.You can look at multiple people in the bible that accepted their calling from God. Abraham, Noah, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, and even Jesus said yes to God's call in their lives. When these people accepted their calling, they relied only on God. For when it was tough or challenging, they call to Him. During the season we are in, there’s no better time than for us to call on Him. In Psalms 91, when we call on our Father, He will answer.
