The Journey of Losing

Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close.- Psalm 27:10
God promises if your mother or father forsakes you, He will remain. Your parents might not be the only ones who forsake you. It could be your friends as well. In His Word, it tells us to depend on no one, but stand and lean on God alone. Not your parents, your spouse, or your friends, but only God. “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man” (Psalm 118:8).
Throughout life, we may lose a loved one or a relationship may come to a sudden end, and we may find ourselves stuck at the moment. If you have been dependent on someone or grieving the loss of a loved one, ask God to see you through. Be determined, no matter what, that you will depend on God during this difficult period in your life. Know your tears are only temporary and there will be a time when you will not have to cry anymore. “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!”- 2 Corinthians 4:17. It is not God's desire for you to remain in your past. He desires for you to remove anything holding you back from following and trusting Him. For this reason Luke 9:59-60 states, “Follow me!” He also states, “Let the dead bury the dead.”
Sometimes, when we lose a loved one or a friend, there is a part of us that dies too. Begin to ask God to bring joy back into your life only as He can. Let go of your tears. God wants to overfill you with joy. Let go and let God.

, and leave the past in the past. Know God is doing a new thing in your life. Rejoice now! He is taking everything in your past and turning around for your good. “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”- Romans 8:28.
Do you really believe He can? Begin to trust Him and Him alone. I pray you to receive this and pray God will do a new thing for you. Ask God today to remove any dependence on people or merely living in the past. Ask God to remove this dependence and fill it with His presence. Remember, God is always there for you.
