“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.”- John 14:1-4 You ever heard that saying “Trust takes years to build, but seconds to destroy.”? In life, when we seem that we lost trust to either our friends, our family, or our dreams, we must not lose trust in God. In His last days on earth, Jesus told his disciples to take comfort and to believe in him as they believed in God. He also explained to them that there were many mansions in his Father’s house and that He was going ahead to prepare a place for them. He continues saying that they will know the way to where He is. As followers of Jesus, we can trust in the promises of God. We may be in a journey where it is hard to trust anyone around you. You feel like you are alone and don’t know where to turn to. I tell you today when you trust God, He will provide for your every need. I love it when Jesus told us to trust in God as well as trust in me. “Trust in God” who is still in control, who knows what He is doing, who is capable of exercising infinite wisdom, infinite power, and infinite love. “Trust also in me,” Jesus said, who is the means by which all that wisdom and resource and power of God is made available to you. We must understand that trust and faith go hand in hand. If we can put our trust Him with any situation that may be going on in our lives, we should also put faith that God will prevail us to victory. When we do put our trust in Jesus, we will realize that He is the only way to heaven. No one can get to God without Jesus for He is the way! (John 14:6) Once we trust God and understand He is the way, we should not lean on our own understanding. When we trust in Him, we should seek His will in all what we do in our lives.(Proverbs 3:5-6) Don’t lose trust in the Lord when you believe that He hasn’t heard you. Don’t let your heart be troubled by things here on earth. Remember, hold on to God’s unchanging hands. For He is preparing a place for you with your name on it. You have to give it all to God. You have to give up believing you know what is best. You have to give up being in charge. You have to release your grip, and open your heart. In doing so, the bumps in the road seem smoother. Not because they all go away, but because you now know your way around them. “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.”- Psalms 9:10
